Josh SEARL will captain the CATS for the 2021 QAFL season. SEARL will enter 13th senior season in the blue and white hoops with 150 senior games of experience. Captain our 2020 grand final appearance, SEARL is a strong leader of our football club and is very well respected at SUBARU OVAL. Coach Craig O'Brien said "I am excited to see Josh lead the club again this season, his leadership last season was amazing during the COVID period and now with a full season ahead, Josh will thrive as captain of the club".
Josh headlines a 5 man leadership group tasked to lead the club this season. 22 year old Liam NELSON will be the Vice-Captain of the club. Liam has played 51 senior games for the club and plays with his heart on his sleeve each week for the CATS. Liam's leadership has grown and developed over the last few years and he relished his opportunity last season moving to the back line. 2018 Jim Stubbs Trophy winner and Grogan Medallist Blake Erickson, 2020 runner up Grogan Medallist Jordan Moncrieff and Tyrone Armitage will round out the 5 man leadership group. 2021 Leadership Group: Josh Searl - Captain
