The 2021 QAFL premiers will unfurl the flag against Noosa at SUBARU OVAL on April 2. In what is expected to be a blockbuster 2022 QAFL season, the CATS play 18 games with 21 round season.
The marquee Gold Coast derby vs Surfers Paradise on Sunday May 1 will be played for the Andrew Schumacher Memorial Trophy. A 2021 QAFL Grand Final re-match against Maroochydore is scheduled for June 11 at Subaru Oval. The CATS meet QAFL new comers Aspley at Graham Rd in round 10.
In what will be a challenging season for the CATS, senior coach Craig O'Brien is excited to see what his team can do in 2022. "We have added some quality senior players and have re-signed 21 of our premiership team but this season being 18 games will require more depth then ever to compete each week" said premiership coach O'Brien.
